Wajih Waliullah Post – Salah (Prayer)

Salah is the Arabic word for prayer. Among all acts of worship, Salah is the best. Other acts of worship are only accepted if salah is accepted by Allah The Most Merciful, The Most Forgiving. And, if not accepted, other acts are not accepted as well. Performing prayers five times a day purifies one’s sins just like bathing five times a day which makes our body clean from dirt and filth. Beneficial is he who offers prayers on time. He who doesn’t give prayers a first priority is considered as one who doesn’t offer prayers at all. One should not offer one’s prayers hurriedly and while in the act, one should humble oneself in remembrance of Allah with all solemnity. When performing prayers one should be repentant and refrain from all evil thoughts and sins. Brushing the teeth, putting on clean clothes, increases ones rewards in prayers.
